What is there to do during New Year's Eve at and around De Thijmse Berg?

At De Thijmse Berg people of all ages will enjoy themselves greatly! The youngest ones will have fun in the indoor playground at our park, while the others enjoy themselves in the cozy brasserie with fireplace. Go on a winter hike and discover the beauty of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug; hike across vast heathlands and through lush forests. We might even have a white New Year's Eve this year! After a day outdoors you can perfectly warm up and unwind in your vacation home, and at midnight you toast to the new year while enjoying a bite and a drink. And on January 1? You of course go for a fresh New Year's dive!

    Be surprised by the magical world of nocturnal animal life! As day turns into evening, the lights are turned on and you can enjoy light art installations that are meters tall; and all of that between the animals. A true light spectacle for all ages!

    New Year's dive in Veenendaal

    A refreshing start of the new year; put on your bathing suit, put on a hat, and take a refreshing dive into the water on the first day of the year! This year you can again join a New Year's dive in Veenendaal.

De Thijmse Berg offers a number of facilities for all ages: a multi-functional sports pitch where you can spend some energy, an outdoor swimming pool with water spray park, a bicycle and pedal cart rental, and entertainment for children during the school breaks!

🚲 Do you also offer bike rentals at De Thijmse Berg?

Absolutely!  The Utrechtse Heuvelrug is a beautiful and forested nature reserve that is well worth exploring. By bike, you can explore all corners of the park. That's why we like to offer our guests the opportunity to rent a bike. We also rent out e-choppers and pedal karts!
